Hidden Edge Club
Are you wondering how you’ll keep up with the rapidly changing demands of your business in 2014? Are you concerned by the burgeoning costs of IT? Are you looking for fresh ideas to balance the books and improve your organisation’s margins?
On the 11th of June the Hidden Edge Club will be bringing together 16 Finance, Operations and IT Directors from enterprise scale organisations at the luxurious Sanderson Hotel, Central London, to continue our discussion on how to gain and sustain an incremental advantage. Many finance directors who we have been speaking to are concerned about the growing cost of IT. This quarter we’ll be discussing how business leaders in large scale organisations can drive change, and dramatically reduce the running costs of IT departments.
A clear example of this is the growing adoption on Hadoop among large enterprises. Hadoop is a transformational technology originally developed by Yahoo! but now released as freeware. Many experts believe it has the potential to dramatically reduce the costs of IT in enterprise-scale organisations. The most recent estimates predict that data can be stored on Hadoop servers for 1-2% of the cost of traditional data warehouses. However, once data is held in Hadoop it is notoriously difficult to access, search, and manipulate, and many feel that you need an army of IT professionals to run it effectively.
Past guests of the club include:
CFO – Lindt
Head of Finance – Rolls Royce
Global Operations Director – Astrazeneca
Head of Finance – TUI Travel

The evening will kick off at 6:30pm with networking drinks in the Sanderson’s spectacular bar, we will then move through to the main dinning room to begin our five star, three course dinner-discussion.
